Who We Are
Welcome to Ubwite Mission House

Introduction
Ubwite Mission House (UMH) was birthed in 2012 by Ms. R. N. Suba who is the founder of the organization. Ubwite is a Bemba name which means a calling upon someone.
Ms. suba was moved and touched to serve the lives of the less privileged and the vulnerable children in society such as the circumstantial children (these are the children born in prison while their mothers are under serving their sentences) female inmates and ex- inmate and girl children (juveniles).
Our Target Group:
Children 0 years – 18years circumstantial children (children born in prison), female inmates, ex -female inmates and families of prisoners and other vulnerable children.
What we Aim to Achieve
- To advocate and support the circumstantial children, families of the inmates and other vulnerable children by giving them a temporal home whilst their parents are still in prison. Acquire education for them through sponsorship. This is a transit home for the children, when their mothers complete serving their sentences come through to collect their children and take them
home and continue giving support to the them by making follow ups and ensuring that their wellbeing is catered for. We continue monitoring the children even after their parents are released to build capacity in them and help them integrate in their homes as well as in society. - To improve the quality life of the circumstantial children by building up their foundation and create a sense of wellbeing in them. These children are not prisoners in that they require total care and love from a happy home. Their wellbeing must be chattered for such as access to good nutrition, shelter, health facilities, education and many other rights the children have to excise.
- To create awareness to the community and the outside world for the need to protect children right whilst their mothers are under correction.
- To train families and care givers as well as forester parent’s skills to enable the children get adequate care, love and support. We don’t intend to keep these children for long, we encourage the families and relatives of these children to get them and care for them as foster parents as we wait for their mothers to be discharged. This is so in order to build bonds and family ties to the devastated families whose bread winners are not in position to care for then for a period of time. Our emphasis is to make the society understand that the circumstantial children and other family
members of the victims need support and love from society. - We also extend a hand to the orphaned children, the vulnerable especially girl child and we encourage train foster parents who are willing to pick them since it is a transit home. We intend not to keep them for a longer time because we want then to adapt to family life-style but help them to be fixed into homes.
Our Mission , Vision & Values.
